For the Talmudic novice, Tosfos often presents a major challenge as it often takes Talmudic discourse to a new level, encompassing a broader range of facts and information throughout the Talmud that are difficult to absorb without actively researching and gathering the information referred to by the authors.
Tosfos.com actually began as a basic written aid for Yeshiva students wanting to understand clearly the step by step give and take, of the tosfos they were learning.
It was further developed into a website to accommodate the many participants of the Daf Yomi program who might want to expand upon and enhance their daily learning of the daf.
We hope to improve the useability of the site by including a menu that will allow users to select from a list of Tosfosi’n sorted by Tractate and page number. Also we plan Iy”h to include a contact link where questions and comments will be welcome.
